• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales transactions swiftly and efficiently
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product questions and upselling opportunities
• Manage cash handling procedures with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Engage customers using friendly phone etiquette for inquiries or follow-up calls
• Support inventory management through stocking and merchandising tasks to ensure product availability
• Promote store promotions and new products through suggestive selling techniques
• Ensure a clean and organized checkout area while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards

Experience

• Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are valued highly
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transaction processing
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers in bilingual settings is a plus
• Supervising experience in retail or customer service roles is advantageous for leadership opportunities
• Strong phone etiquette skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are essential
• Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments will help you excel in this role
