Duties

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity
• Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and product demos to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain an organized checkout area by stocking supplies and merchandising displays
• Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering customer questions or directing calls
• Support inventory management through stocking shelves and participating in regular stock checks
• Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude
• Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
