Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Cashier/Customer Service professional to join our team in a small town liquor store. You will be the welcoming face of our store providing exceptional service to customers while efficiently handling transactions. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure a positive shopping experience, encouraging repeat visits.

**Must be 18+, able to count drawer, reliable. Part time with flexibility to increase hours over time.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including recommendations
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible
• Support inventory management through stocking, product rotation, and inventory counts
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers

Skills

• Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Prior supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and stock management
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking
• Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and retail calculations
