Duties

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales transactions quickly and efficiently
• Greet customers warmly, offering assistance and product information as needed
• Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision
• Upsell products and suggest additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and maintaining phone etiquette during inquiries

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling
• Previous supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
• Ability to perform retail math for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
• Strong communication skills in both bilingual (if applicable) and clear verbal interactions
• Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments preferred
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and product demos enhances performance
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
