Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with accuracy
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
• Provide product demonstrations and information to enhance customer experience
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
• Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory as needed
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues professionally
• Uphold company policies regarding cash handling and security

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred
• Strong basic math skills, including retail math for accurate transaction processing
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls when necessary
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while also being self-motivated
• Experience with supervising or training new staff is a plus
• Familiarity with cash register operations and point-of-sale systems is beneficial
