Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in a dynamic grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers while accurately handling transactions.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, processing customer transactions accurately and quickly.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to assist customers effectively.
• Supervise the checkout area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Provide product demonstrations when required to enhance customer engagement.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions and provide change accurately.
• Exhibit phone etiquette when answering calls related to customer inquiries or store information.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Experience with cash handling and operating cash registers is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced communication with diverse customers.
• Ability to supervise others in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Basic understanding of retail math principles is beneficial for managing transactions accurately.
