Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Manage stock levels by participating in inventory counts and stock replenishment tasks
• Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage bilingual customers if applicable
• Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable
• Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus but not mandatory
• Ability to perform basic merchandising, stocking, and product demonstration tasks
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive demeanor
