Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process customer transactions swiftly and efficiently
• Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and confidence, ensuring proper cash handling procedures
• Assist customers with product questions, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restocking supplies as needed and merchandising products effectively
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering assistance with store navigation
• Support inventory management through stocking shelves, conducting product demos, and participating in merchandising efforts
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly attitude
• Experience supervising or leading team members is a bonus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated for growth potential
