Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process customer transactions swiftly and securely
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, assisting with product locations, and offering product demos when appropriate
• Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Assist with inventory management through stocking, product rotation, and participating in stock counts
• Use effective phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support to customers over the phone

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Previous supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment
• Ability to conduct product demos confidently to engage customers
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Knowledge of grocery store operations and retail sales techniques
• Basic math skills for cash register operations and transaction accuracy
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy retail setting
