Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and efficiently
• Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments with precision and integrity
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
• Conduct product demos when applicable to promote features and benefits to customers
• Upsell items by suggesting complementary products to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Assist with inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and product replenishment
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Requirements

• Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base better
• Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced retail setting
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stock management, and retail sales techniques
