JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent customer service
• Experience with cash handling is a must
• Experience working with diverse groups of people
• Requires sense of humor, energetic personality, mature demeanor and pleasant attitude
• Be a team player
• Be self-motivated and able to work without much supervision
• Consistently exercise good judgment
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be available to work weekends
• Willingness to be flexible and work under intense pressure at times
• Ability to organize and work effectively with others
• Ability to be flexible and multi-task
• Genuine interest in the Tanana Valley State Fair
• Ability to handle confidential information

Job Title: CASHIER

Coordinates with: Cashier Manager

Job Scope: Seasonal position – July 31 – August 9

Salary: $15.00 per hour (DOE) for new cashiers

JOB DUTIES:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Operate a cash drawer and maintain accurate records by utilizing a POS system
• Verify cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of every shift
• Be a positive front door representative of the Fair

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
