Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process sales accurately and efficiently, ensuring quick checkouts for customers. Toast preferred.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos when needed.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and digital payments with precision, maintaining accurate cash handling and retail math throughout your shift.
• Upsell products and promote store specials or loyalty programs to enhance sales opportunities.
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-organized.
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product demos to engage customers and boost sales.
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times.

Qualifications

• Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions confidently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a bilingual setting are highly valued.
• Experience supervising or leading small teams is a plus, especially if involved in product demos or merchandising tasks.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, including stocking and inventory management, is advantageous.
