Cashier and Customer Service (FOH)

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/FOH team member to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing excellent service while accurately handling transactions. Your role is crucial in ensuring a positive shopping experience, and you will be responsible for managing cash and maintaining the checkout area.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using a cash register.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases.
• Upsell products and services to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all stock is replenished as needed.
• Conduct product demonstrations to inform customers about new items or promotions.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.

Skills

• Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Experience in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales analysis.
• Ability to stock shelves efficiently while maintaining product organization.
• Previous experience operating a cash register is preferred but not required.
• Capability to conduct engaging product demos that attract customer interest.
