Kent Island Depot BP Gas Station and Convenience Store in Stevensville, MD is looking for a flex shift full time Cashier. Kent Island Depot is a BP gas station and convenience store with a deli. Job duties include cashiering, making sandwiches for deli and various store cleaning and admin tasks. Salary is $16.50 base and approx. $17.00-$17.25 with tips. (tips average .50 per hour). No experience is required for this position, however experience cashiering is a plus. To be hired, you must pass a criminal background check and be authorized to legally work in the US. Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Scan items, collect payments, and issue receipts to customers
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers with any inquiries or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Promote company loyalty programs and special promotions

Requirements:
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient checkout process
- Fluent in English to effectively communicate with customers
- Previous experience Cashiering is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of transactions
- Basic math skills to accurately calculate change and totals
