Cashier at Convenience Store

A convenience store worker helps customers and keeps the store running smoothly. Typical duties include:

• Greeting customers and answering questions

• Keeping the store clean and organized
• Preparing simple foods or beverages (if offered)
• Verifying age for restricted purchases, such as tobacco products
• Opening or closing the store and balancing cash drawers
