Cashier / Barista (Bubble Tea Shop)

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for tea and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role will involve using various Point of Sale (POS) systems, handling cash transactions, and engaging with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of tea and espresso beverages, and other specialty drinks
• Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing
• Maintain cleanliness of the tea area, including equipment, tables, and workstations
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with their orders
• Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies
• Engage in sales activities to promote special offers or new products to customers
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers
• Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is an advantage
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
