Duties

• Greet customers warmly as they arrive and assist with their needs at the front desk
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure a clean and inviting environment
• Assist with stocking shelves, inventory management, and product replenishment throughout the store
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, upselling products, and promoting store offerings
• Demonstrate phone etiquette by professionally answering inquiries and directing calls appropriately
• Support retail sales efforts through effective communication, upselling techniques, and product knowledge sharing
• Participate in product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail or grocery store environment preferred
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus)
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math concepts
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
• Professional phone etiquette for handling inquiries courteously and effectively
