Job Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and friendly individual to join our team as a Restaurant Cashier/Hostess. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent customer service to our guests. The cashier/hostess will handle guest payments, manage to-go orders, and assist with seating guests in the dining area.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they enter the restaurant with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage wait listings and maintain an organized seating chart to ensure efficient table turnover.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and maintain accurate waitlists.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide information.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the hostess stand and cashier station.
- Provide assistance to guests with special requests or accommodations.
- Manage and package to-go & delivery orders
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Handle cash transactions, reconcile cash drawers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
- Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for providing exceptional service.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 0~25+ pounds.
- Bend, stoop, and reach to perform various tasks.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
