Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a lively, efficient manner
• Operate POS systems such as toast POS to process sales accurately and swiftly
• Handle cash transactions, giving correct change and managing cash handling procedures with integrity
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, supporting kitchen operations
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across the dining area, kitchen, and food prep stations
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and ensuring quick service in a fast food or café environment
• Follow proper food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring food quality during shifts
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during busy hours

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service restaurants is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems such as toast POS for seamless transactions
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
• Experience in cashiering, serving, bussing tables, or supporting kitchen staff is a plus
• Basic culinary experience or kitchen background enhances your ability to support food prep tasks effectively
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
