Cashier (on-site)

Position Summary

The Outlet Associate must be pleasant, friendly, and communicative with customers as they need to listen to and assist customers with their needs, explain products and availability, and make sales. Must deliver consistent and high-quality customer service with multitasking in expeditious environments to strengthen the company’s brand and improve customer loyalty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Greets customers and demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Helps customers select products, answers questions, and shares product knowledge.
• Process purchases and returns using the Outlet Store point of sale (POS) system.
• Collect credit card and cash payments using the Outlet Store POS system and distributing accurate change.
• Communicate politely with customers face to face and by telephone.
• Repackaging finished product and factory seconds.
• Keep shelves fully stocked with products daily, while ensuring proper date rotation.
• Work with external vendors to check in products and assist with maintaining current Best By dates.
• Complete physical inventory counts: in-depth counts twice per year, and periodic counts on a weekly basis.

Education and/or Experience
Previous retail experience preferred.
Other
All other duties as assigned.
Compensation
$13.92 starting hourly rate with the potential for a 6 month increase to $15.94 per hour

Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to grasp, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employee should be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
