Duties

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries with enthusiasm and clarity.
• Conduct product demos when appropriate to showcase new or featured items, encouraging sales through upselling techniques.
• Restock shelves by organizing merchandise, ensuring products are neat, labeled correctly, and available for customers.
• Maintain proper stock levels through merchandising and inventory management practices, including stock counts and replenishment.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling procedures and basic retail math to give correct change.
• Uphold excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking orders remotely.

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer needs effectively.
• Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and clearly.
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory purposes.
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product presentation techniques to enhance store appearance.
