CASHIER / STOCKER

Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
• Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos, and suggest additional items through upselling techniques
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure displays are attractive and well-maintained according to merchandising standards
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling responsibilities with integrity
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Support inventory management by stocking products and conducting regular stock checks
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and creating a welcoming shopping environment

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience using POS systems is preferred
• Supervising experience in retail or grocery store settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills in both English and another language (bilingual) preferred
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environment is beneficial
• Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and the ability to upsell effectively
• Basic understanding of retail math for transactions and inventory management
