Cashier - Stocker - Bagger

Job Summary

Five Star Marketplace is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our team as a Cashiers-Stockers-Bagger. This is a hands-on role that supports daily store operations, including assisting customers, operating the register, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized store.

The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who is comfortable working on their feet, helping customers, and stepping in where needed to keep the store running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Checkout

Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service

Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately

Bag groceries carefully and efficiently

Assist customers with questions and carry-out assistance when needed

Stocking & Inventory

Stock shelves and rotate products as needed

Keep shelves faced, organized, and fully stocked

Assist with receiving and processing deliveries

Maintain backroom organization Cart & Store Maintenance

Collect shopping carts (buggies) from the parking lot

Help maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store

Ensure aisles and common areas are safe and organized

Team Support

Work collaboratively with team members and leadership

Take direction and complete tasks efficiently

Adapt to changing priorities throughout the shift

Qualifications

Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Good communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred (or currently enrolled)

Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required

Schedule

Part-time positions available

Mix of weekday, evening, and weekend shifts

Flexible scheduling based on availability

Additional Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work outdoors when collecting carts in various weather conditions

Reliable transportation to and from work

Must be able to pass a background check (required for all hires)
