Cashier, Stocking, Customer Service

Overview

We are looking for an efficient, courteous cashier who possesses excellent customer service skills. The cashier will scan the customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean workspace.

To succeed as a cashier, you should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service. You’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming customers, answering their questions and helping them locate items
• Operating cash registers and payment terminals
• Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate
• Handling money and helping customers with their everyday needs
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Following all store procedures
• Sorts and stocks products in the coolers and on shelves
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization
• Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a convenience store or cashier in a similar role is preferred
• Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
