CASHIER (TULSA) Non-Safety Sensitive

Hours: 11:00am-8:00pm, weekends a must

PAY: $13.25-$14.85

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Primary responsibility is to effectively perform cashier related functions while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Maintain a friendly and professional environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer and co-worker that approaches. Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities on a daily basis. Effectively communicate customer service issues and requests to management.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

• Handle cash, checks, credit cards and financing
• Count till (cash) bags at the beginning and end of each shift, verifying that all transactions were done correctly and till balances at the end of each shift
• Maintain the front office appearance by keeping everything neat and clean
• File the daily invoices,
• Call the bank on all out of state checks and temporary checks to verify that the checks will clear
• Call the finance company to verify information on customers account (balance due, account balance, available credit);
• Copy and match all finance approvals
• Process special orders and handwritten tickets
• Take account payments for fabric checkouts or other misc. payments.
• Perform any other duties as directed by management.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers; computer experience required; basic mathematical skills required; attention to detail; ability to communicate effectively and positively with internal and external customers. Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 10 lbs. occasionally.
