Cashier/barist

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cashier/Barista to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, takes orders, processes payments, and prepares beverages with precision and care. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders in a lively, engaging manner
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to accurately process transactions including cash handling and credit card payments
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, maintaining high standards of food safety and food handling procedures
• Manage cash register operations efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling, basic math accuracy, and balancing registers at shift end
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, or special requests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area, including food safety compliance and sanitation standards
• Support catering events or banquet services as needed, demonstrating flexibility within the food service environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or retail math is highly desirable; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively while maintaining quality service
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and retail math calculations
• Experience in brewing or beverage preparation is advantageous but not required
• Previous roles involving serving at restaurants or catering events will be highly valued

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
