Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and dependable Cashier/Barista to join our team in a fast-paced setting. The Cashier/Barista will provide excellent customer service, prepare coffee and espresso beverages, accurately handle cash, operate the POS system, and maintain a clean, organized service area. This role ensures smooth and efficient transactions while delivering a great guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash-handling procedures are followed.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages, following recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain and operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper function.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product and beverage selections.
- Upsell products, beverages, and specials to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Keep the checkout and coffee bar areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing, including pastries, merchandise, and drink station supplies.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and provide change as needed.
- Assist with product demos or beverage tastings to educate customers on new items or promotions.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance on customer service and beverage preparation best practices.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cashier, barista, or in food service is preferred.
- Familiarity with espresso machines, brewing methods, and coffee preparation is a plus.
- Experience with POS systems and basic retail math is essential for efficient transaction processing.

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
