Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately, ensuring quality standards are met at all times.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently while providing friendly customer service.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end.
• Deliver excellent customer service by taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing customer inquiries with enthusiasm.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas, dining spaces, and cashier stations in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist with food safety procedures such as proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Support food industry operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and assisting in basic kitchen tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred but not required; culinary experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS enhances efficiency in processing sales.
• Strong time management skills to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and order preparation.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math for retail transactions is essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting within a busy café or retail store environment.
• Basic kitchen experience or grocery store familiarity is beneficial for supporting various operational tasks.
