Overview
We are seeking a motivated and personable Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our team. This role is vital in delivering excellent service, managing transactions accurately, and assisting customers with their needs in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, retail experience, and a friendly demeanor to ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions, returns, and exchanges with accuracy.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly.
• Assist with product demonstrations and upselling to promote additional items that meet customer needs.
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling sales at shift end.
• Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory counts to ensure product availability.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers using proper phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math is essential.
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings.
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases.
• Demonstrated ability to perform product demos and upsell products confidently.
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction techniques.
