Cashier/Customer Service

Objective:

Essential Functions:

- Greet customers, and offer friendly helpful service - Check out customer purchases promptly and accurately, using correct prices, and department PLU codes - Become familiar with store policies and products to help answer customer questions - Follow security procedures with customers regarding cash handling, etc.

- Maintain shopper and register supplies at checkout stands and stations - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties/Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

The employee must have the ability to: speak and hear, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with their hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods where wet and dry processes are used, wear protective footwear, wear personal protective equipment (including gloves and a mask at all times), and work in extreme temperatures. The employee must have the ability to frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Expected Hours of Work:

Days, nights and weekends are required

Education and Experience:

Minimum of one year cashiering experience - preferred
