Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in a friendly, professional manner
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties responsibly
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
• Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting via phone

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred
• Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual abilities are highly valued
• Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations accurately
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environment is advantageous
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professionalism
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
