Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges with speed and precision
• Greet customers warmly, offering assistance and product demos to enhance their shopping experience
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with integrity and accuracy
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are appealing and accessible
• Assist with stocking shelves, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the store remains tidy and inviting
• Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending relevant items to increase sales opportunities
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and practicing polite phone etiquette

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash register operations and retail math calculations
• Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques, product demos, and upselling strategies to boost sales performance
