Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage cash transactions will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and care.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring all stock is well-displayed.
- Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Uphold company policies regarding returns, exchanges, and customer service standards.
- Demonstrate basic math skills to ensure accurate cash handling and change giving.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance customer satisfaction.
