Cashier/Customer Service

Job Title: Cashier
Location: Deira Retail Shop, Dubai
Department: Retail Operations
Reports To: Store Supervisor / Store Manager

The Cashier is responsible for handling all sales transactions efficiently and accurately while delivering excellent customer service. The role ensures smooth billing operations, proper cash handling, and maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer purchases accurately using POS systems
• Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other payment methods securely
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as per company policy
• Maintain accuracy in cash drawer and perform daily cash reconciliation
• Ensure proper opening and closing of the cash counter
• Assist customers with product inquiries and basic sales support
• Promote ongoing offers, promotions, and loyalty programs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the billing counter area
• Coordinate with store team for stock availability and pricing updates
• Report discrepancies or issues to the Store Supervisor immediately

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a cashier in retail (preferably perfume/cosmetics industry)
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills
• Good numerical and cash handling skills
• Strong communication skills (English required; Arabic is an advantage)
• Presentable, customer-focused, and professional attitude

Additional Notes (UAE HR Best Practice):

• Must comply with company SOPs and cash handling policies
• Any cash shortage/excess must be reported and documented immediately
• Subject to periodic audits and performance reviews

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
