About Us

David Doughie’s Bagelry is an Austin-born bagel brand serving up scratch-made, small-batch bagels with attitude, flavor, and a sense of humor. We’re a locally loved food trailer with a loyal following, a creative menu (think Schmear & Loathing in Austin or All Rye! All Rye! All Rye!), and a mission to make mornings brighter — one perfectly toasted bagel at a time.

We’re looking for a friendly, energetic weekend cashier to join our crew and keep the good vibes (and bagels) rolling during our busiest hours.

The Role

As our Cashier & Guest Experience Host, you’ll be the first face people see when they walk up — and the voice that brings our menu to life. This role is all about creating an easy, upbeat, and welcoming experience for every guest who visits our trailer.

You’ll:

• Greet guests with genuine warmth and energy
• Take orders accurately using our POS system
• Manage transactions (cash and card) with care
• Help guests navigate the menu (and maybe even recommend a new favorite schmear)
• Keep the ordering area tidy, stocked, and inviting
• Support merch sales — stickers, shirts, and other fun DD gear
• Assist the trailer team as needed to keep the line moving smoothly

Who You Are

• A people person — you enjoy chatting with guests and keeping the energy positive
• Comfortable in a fast-paced outdoor service setting
• Reliable and punctual (you show up early and ready to go)
• Detail-oriented with cash handling and order accuracy
• Team-oriented — you’ll work closely with our kitchen and trailer crew
• Flexible, upbeat, and not afraid to get your hands a little doughy

Requirements

• Must be available Saturdays and Sundays, 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
• Prior food service or retail experience preferred (but not required)
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and work outdoors
• Must be 16 years or older
