Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information to enhance their shopping experience
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Assist customers with product demos, upselling opportunities, and merchandising displays to maximize sales potential
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, stock shelves, and ensure products are well-presented
• Support inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and product replenishment
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting remote customers

Requirements

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for handling transactions accurately
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and confidently for cash handling and sales totals
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Experience in grocery store or retail environments is advantageous
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
