Duties:

• Arrive on time and ready for your scheduled shift
• Complete opening duties to prepare dining room for service in accordance with designated procedures
• Deliver quality and consistent customer service
• Implementation and supervision of cash-handling procedures, and register reconciliation from daily sales
• Management of day-to-day operation of the credit and debit card processing systems and procedures
• Effective operation and routine housekeeping of the POS
• Assist with front of houses food and beverage preparation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
• Ensure that all food and beverage products are properly stored and rotated
• Monitor inventory levels of food items and supplies in front of house
• Operate kitchen and dining room equipment safely and efficiently
• Communicate with other kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time

Skills:

• Experience as a cashier or customer service representative in a fast-paced restaurant environment is a plus but not required
• Literacy, computer literacy and numeracy as appropriate to the job requirements
• Lively, articulate and engaging spoken communication and an excellent manner when dealing with the public, visitors, and colleagues
• Experience of, and a clean record in, cash handling, banking, and implementing cash handling procedures
• Ability to respond flexibly to changing business needs and demands, and to work calmly and effectively under pressure
