Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and efficiently.
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demos to enhance their shopping experience.
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity.
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restock supplies, and ensure merchandise is properly displayed through merchandising and stocking duties.
• Upsell products by recommending complementary items to increase sales while providing excellent customer service.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting product demos, and supporting stock replenishment efforts.
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Support supervising staff by providing guidance during busy periods and ensuring store policies are followed.

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Previous supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is a plus.
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts.
• Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs.
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and active listening skills.
• Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking practices, and basic sales techniques such as upselling.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
• Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional remote communication.
