Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, assisting with product selection, and offering product demos when appropriate
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Assist customers with upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales
• Practice effective phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support over the phone
• Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks
• Engage in friendly communication with customers in a bilingual environment if applicable

Experience

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse customers are essential
• Experience in grocery stores or retail environments will be advantageous
• Supervising experience is a bonus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in team settings
• Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a broader customer base effectively

Pay: $16.94 - $17.50 per hour
