Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and promote relevant items through upselling techniques.
• Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves and conducting regular stock checks to ensure product availability.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions politely via phone etiquette or in person, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Assist in retail sales activities by promoting store promotions, new products, and loyalty programs to enhance sales performance.

Requirements

• Previous experience with POS systems or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve our diverse customer base effectively.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Experience working in a grocery store or retail environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
