Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive shopping environment will be key to ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is displayed attractively.
• Perform stocking duties and assist in merchandising efforts to enhance product visibility.
• Utilize strong phone etiquette when addressing customer calls or inquiries.
• Assist with retail sales by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products.
• Apply basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.

Requirements

• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions
• A passion for providing excellent customer service in a grocery store setting is highly valued.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
