Cashier/Customer Service

The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately handling transactions, maintaining a clean store environment, stocking merchandise, and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every customer with a friendly attitude.
  • Operate cash register and process cash, credit, debit, EBT, and mobile payments.
  • Verify age and follow all laws for tobacco and alcohol sales.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer and complete shift reconciliations.
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
  • Rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out).
  • Keep store, restrooms, coffee station, and food areas clean.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report low stock.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and putting away merchandise.
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention guidelines.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally.
  • Complete assigned shift duties and cleaning checklist.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable transportation and attendance.

Performance Expectations

  • Arrive on time and ready to work.
  • Maintain cash shortages/overages within company standards.
  • Provide fast, friendly service.
  • Keep assigned areas fully stocked and clean.
  • Follow all compliance requirements.
