Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product demos when applicable.
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock beverage shelves to enhance product visibility and appeal.
• Engage in upselling by recommending additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Support store operations through stocking, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual capacity is a plus.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering best practices.
• Experience supervising or mentoring team members is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $11.50 - $12.00 per hour
