Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demos
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Support inventory management through stock checks and merchandising adjustments as needed
• Demonstrate product features through demos when appropriate, highlighting benefits to customers
• Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries

Experience

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred but not required; training provided
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous
• Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially in team coordination or training roles
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
