Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Greet customers warmly, providing friendly assistance and product information
• Conduct product demos to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
• Manage cash handling with precision, ensuring correct change and balanced registers at shift end
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Assist in inventory management through stock replenishment and stock rotation
• Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support remotely
• Support retail sales efforts by promoting promotions, loyalty programs, and new products

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Previous supervising experience or leadership roles in retail environments preferred
• Ability to demonstrate products confidently to customers
• Bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly customer interactions
• Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
• Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Familiarity with merchandising, stocking, and retail sales strategies
• Excellent phone etiquette for professional remote communication

Pay: $12.77 - $15.00 per hour
