Cashier/Customer Service/Deli /Market/Server

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support to enhance their shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will be key.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and responsibly.
• food expo- able to put together orders from the expo line and bag each item for the customers, as well as take the customer their order, outside the patio. ( food runner)
• Provide product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, enhancing their purchasing decisions.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
• Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items that complement their purchases.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and a focus on resolution.
• Communicate effectively over the phone, providing information about products, services, and store policies.
• Collaborate with team members to meet store goals and improve overall customer satisfaction.
• Restock deli case, clean and wipe down counters whenever down time .
• Change deli paper underneath bowls and pastries, to maintain a clean area daily.
• Restock sodas, as well as chips and market items
• wear gloves when handling any kind of food from deli case or pastries
• Take out boxes. Change trash cans bags, Sweep and mop floors .
• check dates of deli products, and flip pans of deli food as is being used.
• being able to keep busy at all times and find something to do .
• Balance out register at end of day of closing.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred but not mandatory.
• Well groomed , and partially formal dress wear a must.
• Friendly and self motivated and plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances our service capabilities.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and basic retail math is beneficial.
• Ability to demonstrate products effectively and convey information clearly.
• A proactive approach to upselling and driving sales within the store environment.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.!

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
