Cashier/Order Taker (customer service)

Job Summary
NOW HIRING! Join our Giovannis team as a "Customer Service team member!" We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Servers, Cashiers and order takers to join our established team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Server/Cashier/Order Taker, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for guests while taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Duties

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions regarding food and drink options
• Ensure timely delivery of orders to guests' tables
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Address guest concerns or complaints promptly with professionalism
• Assist in training new staff members as needed

Experience

• Previous experience as a server or customer service role is preferred but not required
• Strong sales skills to promote menu items effectively
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations or guest inquiries
• Experience in client services or call center environments is beneficial
• Strong analysis skills to assess guest needs and improve service
• Cash handling experience is necessary for processing payments accurately
