Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety protocols.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while managing openTable reservations for optimal table management.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area by bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and assisting with general sanitation practices in line with food industry standards..

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially within fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong culinary knowledge or culinary experience is a plus to better understand menu items and food preparation processes.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Proven ability in sales techniques including upselling and suggestive selling to maximize revenue.
• Experience with reservation platforms like Toast.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances guest relations.
• Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and accurate cash handling.
