Cashier/Sales

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to engage with customers and assist them in their shopping experience will be key to our success.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately using the cash register and POS system.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs promptly.
• Develop a thorough understanding of our products to provide well-informed recommendations to customers.
• Assist in retail sales by promoting products and upselling when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that it is stocked with necessary supplies.
• Handle cash and credit transactions securely, ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
• Utilize phone etiquette to assist customers with inquiries or concerns over the phone.
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions and change returns.
• Restock merchandise on shelves as needed to ensure product availability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or a similar cashier role is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in using cash registers and POS systems is a plus.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and cash handling are essential.
• A keen eye for detail, ensuring accurate stock levels and presentation of merchandise.

Pay: $13.73 - $15.00 per hour
