Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions efficiently, and contributing to the overall success of our store. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for helping customers find the products they need.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
  • Perform cashiering duties including cash handling, processing returns, and managing exchanges.
  • Engage in upselling and merchandising to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by replenishing merchandise and ensuring product displays are appealing.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items or promotions.
  • Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
  • Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and stock levels.
  • Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone.

Skills

  • Proficient in using POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
  • Previous supervising experience is a plus, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to conduct engaging product demos that highlight features and benefits.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
